This is our 2009 Kick-off meeting, and we are excited about our plans for the year.

We have a real treat in store for you! Michael James Brown, who is producing a documentary on race (or rather, on the elimination of race as a concept) will be our speaker. His project is called the Other Awareness Project, and you can find out all about it at http://www.otheraware.... His presentation combines scientific fact with stand up comedy and thought provoking discussion. Now that we have an “Other” president, now that so many of our children and grandchildren are “other,” what could be more timely! This event will fill up, so rsvp right away. Preference will be given to club members and those attending the buffet and social hour.

Come at 5:30 for the “Social Hour” and Build Your Own Taco Buffet, which includes beverage, tax and tip, $15.00 for club members, $20.00 for non-members. Program begins at 6:30.
